I'm joining TNChick's Saturday Photo Scavenger Hunt! I love to take pictures and I love a good challenge! Plus, I don't usually get to blog much on the weekends anyway!

Red, White, and Blue is this week's theme! I was so torn between these two pictures, I posted them both!

I loved this first picture, because it shows the potential of spring turning into summer! Memorial Day is like the gateway, we leave behind spring and get ready for summer!

This one is more obvious. This Memorial Day, we celebrate my Father-in-law's life. He lived for 93 years. He died only one year ago. He was a WWII veteran. We will honor him with a memorial float (featuring some of his 8 children, 19 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren) in his small town's parade!

Happy Memorial Day to all of you!

The first photo is a nice one for RW&B, unpredictable - ya know? Pretty.

Secondly, the flag is always beautiful. Honor to your FIL. My thoughts are with your family as you celebrate his death anniversary.

Happy Memorial Day.

Both pictures are great! I like your story too about your Father-in-law too. My hubbys grandpa is 83 and still going strong, so I hope he lives to be a grand old age :)

Very pretty. I love the blue of the pool. It looks so inviting! We could use one now in this TX heat.

This looks SO like my house (without the pool!) Red begonias and the twisted flag! LOL! I straighten it out EVERY day - sometimes 2 or 3 times a day... and always it gets twisted again! LOL!
GREAT pics! And welcome to the hunt!!!

I love the 1st pic alot! The red flowers w/the pool in the background! Looks perfect to me! Reminds me alot of my parent's house! :)

And of course, an American flag is the perfect R,W, & B choice! :)

Welcome to the Photo Hunt! Hope you're having a great weekend!
